Hello, I’m Carolina de Calice, and my journey as a rower began in 8th grade and continues to thrive at Saugatuck Rowing Club. Before rowing, I played tennis, soccer, and practiced martial arts, which shaped my athleticism and competitive drive. From my first stroke, I fell in love with the physical challenge, mental discipline, and teamwork that define this sport. Nicknamed "Buzz" for the energy and enthusiasm I bring to every practice and race, I take pride in pushing myself and my teammates to achieve our full potential. Rowing has taught me the importance of resilience, focus, and trust, both in myself and the team. Whether I’m racing in high-stakes regattas or perfecting my technique during early morning practices, I am driven by the pursuit of excellence and the joy of being part of such a supportive and hardworking community. I am eager to continue my rowing journey at the collegiate level, where I can contribute my skills, leadership, and love for the sport to a competitive team.
