Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Nadya and I have always been involved in team sports (ice hockey, swimming) and during my 8th grade year I tried Rowing... little did I know I would fall in love with it.
I started rowing with Westford Academy Crew in the 8th grade through my Freshman year. During my freshman year I was part of the Varsity Girls squad, participated in multiple regattas, and won the Hammer Award.
I joined the Greater Lawrence Rowing Club during the summer of 2020 as part of the Varsity 1 Squad. I participated in many virtual events such as Head of the Charles, Head of the Schuylkill and several on-water / in-person scrimmages.
Academically I work hard and I am an active participant in all my classes. In college, I am interested in studying Criminology and/or Psychology because I enjoy helping people, I am very passionate about these subjects.
During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling with my parents, walking my two dogs, volunteering at the local kids’ daycare and going to the gym.
My goal is to continue improving my rowing skills to be an enticing candidate for a respected college rowing program.
