Delaney Gellert '21 Recruiting Profile

I first stated rowing when I did a learn to row camp the summer before my freshmen year and started to love the sport. The excitement and camaraderie of rowing, especially in a race, is what makes me love the sport. Rowing has made me a better athlete and person in general by I’ve learned to keep pushing and finish until you get to 0. I’ve been a swimmer since a young age so being an athlete and have something to work for has always been part of my life. I’ve gained so many friends from crew and the bonds are different from sports I’ve done in the past. The value of teamwork is a lesson I’ve also learned and will still with me throughout life. I believe I will be a good asset to any team because I will challenge myself and others. I am a perseverant, hard-working student athlete who will do anything to make sure they are on top of the game in both school and crew.
