I began rowing at Whitemarsh Boat Club over two years ago out of curiosity; I rowed throughout the winter season and raced in the spring season of 2020. Participating in the action of rowing, I believe, is what helped me become a remarkable and unique coxswain. I was able to spend time in the boats and see how the sport is performed, which has really aided me in making calls to assist my rowers with their technique. My coaches opted to keep me in the coxswain position, not just because I was little, but also because I was progressing quickly and took their criticism seriously. That October, I went to Head of the Charles in a women's four, where I steered an exceptional course, getting my boat the quickest possible line even while providing wonderful motivation. My coach chose me to cox girls and boys in a number of other important races, including Youth Nationals two years in a row and The Canadian Henley. One of my greatest accomplishments was getting first place in the u17 4+ at Head of the Charles. I attend Harriton High School and I am a straight A student taking three AP classes in addition to a variety of extracurricular activities.
