Faith Phillips '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi all!  My name is Faith Phillips and I am currently a Junior at Regents School of Austin which is known for its rigorous academic program.  I started rowing in 2021 so I haven't been rowing as long as others, but through my various other competitive sports, I have gained strength, tenacity,  endurance and confidence, which transfers to my rowing.  This has allowed me to improve quickly and consistently and be one of the strongest rowers already at Texas Rowing Club.  I am very teachable and love to learn!

What I love about rowing is the competitiveness of the sport and the team aspect.  I am dedicated to continually improving myself and am driven to succeed.  I am very dependable and work hard and get results!

My sports background before rowing consisted of Varsity level Cross Country, Varsity Track and Field,  Basketball, Varsity Swim Team, soccer and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I currently continue to work out daily at the gym and love the commitment and dedication developed with my rowing team and practices.  

In addition to my sports and school, I am also a Pilot which requires preparation and precision.  My schedule is packed so I have had to learn about time management and work ethic, which has been very beneficial for me.

I am willing to work hard, be the best athlete, and be a great contribution to the team!
