Marybeth OBryant '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi I am Marybeth O'Bryant and I am a dedicated, versatile, team contributor, graduating class of 2023.  I want to see my team succeed. I believe drills, team  practice and individual work, all make for a more well rounded and developed team member.  For my high school team spring of 2022 I started each game in the outside back position. Dedicating myself to this important position, I developed a rhythm, working with the center back, other defenders and the goalie to ensure we did not allow for the opponent to score. We did great things and became the Alabama State 7A 2022 Champions. Our final championship game was a shut out 4-0. I enjoy moving the ball down field and like a team that pushes the back line up to be effective on offense too. I have a good foot and enjoy taking the shot to score! I have played various positions through out my soccer career. With my club, AFC/BUSA I have played forward, attacking mid and outside back.   I spend hours each week watching college and professional soccer to help boost my soccer IQ. I am quick off the ball and  I am able to support my team in various positions.   My club team is a regional team in the SCCL division which provides our team with matches against many different Atlanta clubs. We are about to kick off the fall 2022 season and I am very excited to get out there.  I am committed to learning and developing my soccer skills . I like the challenge of building up my stamina and endurance.  I am also interested in keeping a healthy outlook with the mental game.  I am looking for a team that has strong positive leadership both on and off the field. The support from the coaches and  teammates will help all of us be successful student athletes. Currently, I am considering my major to be in criminology. I am committed to being a student who will do what it takes and to find the right path for me.
