Personal Statement
I love playing soccer. I am excited about the opportunity to continue my education while playing this great game. I am a passionate and intelligent player. I have good vision and a calm presence on the field which allow me to make good decisions that help my team maintain possession of the ball. My primary position is midfield, but I am a hardworking and respected teammate that will do whatever is asked of me on the field to improve my team which helped me win the 2017-18 Canyon High School (JV) Coaches Award for leadership on and off the field.
I am a hardworking student and I try to contribute positively to every class. I maintained a 4.0 GPA and made the Principal's Honor Roll every quarter of my career at El Rancho Charter School (junior high school), in Anaheim, California. I have continued in my first two years at Canyon High School (Anaheim) with a weighted 4.3 GPA, earning a place on the honor roll each semester. I've become involved in extra-curricular activities at Canyon HS as well by joining the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as a freshman and have now become an FCA board member. I am also a Canyon HS Ambassador. We participate throughout the year in events to introduce new students to our school, and strengthen school spirit and community connections. I was also chosen as the girls soccer representative for our school's Athletic Council both my Junior and Senior year.
My goal is to combine soccer and academics into a college experience that will prepare me for a productive and successful life working in physical therapy or nursing.
