My name is Jacqueline Regan (I go by Jackie or Jax). I am a goalkeeper for Slammers FC ECNL/RL G06/05 (Southwest region, Mojave bracket). I am a senior at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California, and a four-year member of the varsity soccer team. I will be graduating in May 2024.
Last season, my Slammers FC team was the Southwest Regional champions, Western Regional champions, National finalists (losing 3-4 to FC Dallas) and Surf Cup Best of the Best Super White finalists.
My high school team was undefeated in league and 15-5-2 overall. I played all 22 games, had 47 saves, 1 assist and 11 shut-out games.
When I first started playing soccer ten years ago, I played forward or mid half the game and the second half as goalkeeper. Eventually, I played goalkeeper full time. I found that I love playing in the box - the positioning, distribution, communication. I train with the ECNL/RL goalkeeper trainer, JB Brooks, and a private keeper trainer, Joe Velazco.
