Hello Coaches!
My name is Angelina Malee-Koster. I have been playing soccer since I was 8 years old and over the past 5 years I have fallen in love with the sport. I am determined to play to the best of my abilities and thrive at the college level. Even though I live in a small town, my father and I have made it possible to travel and be a part of the North State Soccer Missfit competitive team in Redding, California. We travel an hour each way to practice and between 3-4 hours for away matches. I mention this because I believe it demonstrates my dedication to the game and my development as a player. I am committed to my teammates, communicating with them on the field and building bonds off the pitch. I carry good sportsmanship, dedication, motivation, and determination. I am a player who scans the field constantly trying to figure out what my next play will be to create scoring opportunities as well as defending any opponents trying to score. Even though I have a dominant right foot, my left foot works just as well. I often play left outside back since I can make offensive runs down the side of the pitch and make crosses for scoring opportunities. I am a well rounded player who can pass and move the ball always looking for space. Not only can I play outside back, but I've also had a significant amount of experience playing the 6 (or defensive midfielder) on my High School Varsity Coed team and previous Ashland team. Playing against almost full grown men has influenced my physicality as a player today. I feel some of my greatest qualities are: I am adaptable, I want to play wherever I help my team the most, I've always been told I am very coachable, I love the process of learning and reaping the benefits of hard work.
Off the field, I maintain a 4.26 GPA while taking AP courses as well as college classes. I find it important to thrive in the classroom as well as on the pitch.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile,
Angelina Malee-Koster
