Mackenzie Hilton '17 Recruiting Profile

Education and sports have been very important aspects of my life since 7thgrade and my goal is to continue both through college.  I've played competitive soccer and volleyball both for the last 5 years and have been a dedicated team member on both club and varsity high school teams.  I've had a 4.0 GPA through my sophomore year in school and maintaining that academic level is very important to me.  

My club soccer team, Roseville Teen Titans, has been the same core players for five years strong and our team has improved significantly each year.  I've been told by some to try out for our more competitive local club team, Placer United, but have chosen to stay with the Titans due to our rare comeraderie.  We've built friendships and team relationships that I've not seen with any other team all while we've succeeded in becoming one of the top teams in Northern California.  I believe the relationships made through sports extend into team dynamics and create a great atmosphere to play.  

I've also been a member of my schools varsity soccer team for the second year now.  Woodcreek High School soccer team has been a core part of my high school experience.  I believe the relationships we build help us get to know how to play well with each other while welcoming newcomers to the team.  

Both of my parents played sports in college and I hope to be able to follow in their footsteps.  Academics are equally important to me and finding that balance with school and sports is my top priority.  As of now, I think I'd like to get into teaching in some capacity or focus on a business degree that will enable me to open a business some day.  To say I know what I want to do right now would be a leap but what I do know is that I want to play soccer.
