Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Kaylynn Whitt and I have been playing volleyball for ten years now. Currently, I am playing indoor and beach volleyball at American River College and will be entering my sophomore year. I was a redshirt freshmen the previous fall for indoor, and in the spring for beach volleyball, as well. In addition, I am also looking to transfer in the future. I am a driven and diligent individual when it comes to being on the court, but also off the court as well. My passion for volleyball began when I was younger watching my older siblings play volleyball. It progressed as I was alongside my sister‘s volleyball journey, watching her play her way through college. I knew at an early age volleyball was something I wanted to pursue. Being on the volleyball court challenges me to be my best mentally and physically in order to grow as a player, and helps me to encourage those around me. I have found a competitive grit in the sport of volleyball, which has carried me throughout everyday life. My ambition for the future is to keep exploring the best version of myself on and off the court, with a confident team that I can grow with, contribute to, and learn from. Lastly, I want to develop relationships with future teammates and coaches, while furthering my knowledge and love for the sport.
