Jasmine Vemuri '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jasmine Vemuri and I am a center back from San Jose, California. Soccer has always been one of the things I love most, and it gives me great joy. Therefore, playing collegiate soccer would mean the world to me, as it is an extremely high level of something I love so dearly. I began playing soccer as soon as my age allowed. I played recreational soccer in Loudoun Youth Soccer, and then after moving to California, in South Bay Youth Soccer. At age 8, I moved to competitive club soccer at West Valley Soccer Club, and at age 12, moved to Los Gatos United Soccer Club to be more serious, and play at a higher level. Over the course of this time, I played many positions including, defensive and attacking midfielder, central forward, center back, and wing. I have loved this journey of soccer, and am excited to continue this ride with the college recruiting experience.

Additionally, both on and off the field I try to be a leader. In middle school, I was selected for our leadership program, and was elected ASB school treasurer. In leadership, I expanded my communication and confidence through public speaking and planning events, my favorite being Multicultural Week. In this event we taught our peers about cultures from around the world, and helped underrepresented cultures in our school be seen. On the field I am a leader because I am constantly talking. I help defensively organize our team, and encourage my teammates even when games are tough. 

Overall, college soccer has been a lifetime dream of mine, and I would love to someday represent your college on the field.
