Leilani Phillips '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Leilani Phillips. I am a hard working player with big goals and aspirations. I primarily play the 9 or 7/11 but I can also play 2/3.  I am a versatile, dynamic player who can play any position whether it be offense or defense.  I like to be challenged and often take advantage of opportunities to play with teams 2-3 years older on a regular basis which has helped me to develop and get accustomed to a quicker style of play. 

I have played soccer since I was 4 . I have dreamed of playing soccer at the collegiate level and professionally.  My motto is “work hard play hard”. I would like to attend a D1 or D2 university in order to meet my educational and soccer goals.  

I am a scholar student athlete. My education is important to me. I have maintained a 3.5 or higher in school while playing soccer. The motto in my house is “school first”.  I am currently taking some honors and AP classes while playing a year round soccer schedule. 

I like to play soccer because I learn something every game that I play whether we win or lose. Soccer is a great way to work on teamwork and life lessons. I have applied some of those life lessons learned on the field to my own life. I believe I can be an asset to any team with my adaptable style of play.I am a quick learner,  I am quick on and off the ball, I am patient when off the ball analyzing the field of play to make my next move in the field and I look to include my teammates when on  the attack. I  am a good passer whether I am making through balls or cross passes.

 I am a threat when scoring because I am a switch footer . Being a switch footer helps to expand my positions of attack. I can both facilitate as The 7/9/11 and lead the attack. I have a positive attitude and look to always work with my teammates.
I am willing to put in the work to meet my goals .  I don’t feel there is any challenge too big for me to try. You only fail if you don’t try. I am willing to try if given the opportunity.
