Personal Statement
My name is Ryan Mundy and soccer has been part of my life since I was 7 years old. I am left-foot dominant. I play left outside midfielder. I often play forward and right outside mid. The team atmosphere and competitiveness of the game is what motivates me. This is why I want to continue to play at the collegiate level. When things get tough, I don’t just give up. It pushes me harder. For example, even when we’re down by a lot in a game, I stay positive and focused knowing that anything is possible. I am a hard worker on and off the field, as it also shows in my academics. I attend The Charter School of Wilmington, which is ranked Nationally. It is #39 best high schools in the country and #65 best STEM schools in the country for 2020. I am aspiring to major in Biology or Nursing or a related medical profession.
Soccer is like a family that I love being a part of. I have been told, “I always like to include everyone”. This is why I would be a great college teammate because we will push each other to be better. What I lack, I make up for in motivation and I am a very coachable player.
