Marissa Tankersley '26 Recruiting Profile

From the ten years I have been playing soccer, I have learned the concepts of teamwork, accountability, and passion. I understand how life isn’t easy and things aren’t just given to people, they are earned. Moving to Florida from Texas and starting a new school for my freshman year of high school provided me with many obstacles. I had to learn how to make friends, get good grades, and earn my spot on a new soccer team. I pushed myself that year when I played three sports and got straight A’s. That year I also learned how to manage my time, give my best effort in everything I do, and how to make sure my health is in good shape in order to perform well. I am excited to push myself in the next three years both on the soccer field, in the classroom, and as Alex Morgan put it best “Keep working even when no one is watching“.
