Personal Statement
My name is Dalila Harris, I am a defender and have enjoyed playing soccer since I was four years old. Other than my parents, soccer by far has had one of the biggest influences on my life. My father played football in college and he has always told me stories about the fun he had with his team and the joy he felt as he played. That is when I realized that I wanted to play soccer in college.
Playing soccer has also taught me valuable life skills and made me a fierce competitor. I listen to my peers and coaches and follow their advice on how I can improve. My skills and knowledge of the game have improved tremendously each year.
For as long as I can remember I have been a leader both in the classroom and on the field. I would like to obtain my bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Studies and work as a volunteer coach as I obtain my master's degree. One of my life goals is to coach youth soccer to develop players and introduce them to the game I love!
