I started playing soccer at age five. Ever since then, it has become part of my identity. By playing soccer, I have allowed for myself to grow mentally and physically. It has helped me to develop a strong work ethic. Challenging myself has always been part of who I am. I also love the team aspect of the sport because I have the ability to learn from my teammates while also encouraging them. Every day I aim to have a positive outlook on life. Motivating my teammates through positive talk has helped me to develop leadership on and off the field.
Academically, I aim to achieve the International Baccalaureate Diploma. I always aspire to be successful in school while challenging myself with a rigorous curriculum. I also love to see others succeed. I do this by volunteering to be a math tutor every week during my school’s study period. In the future, I would like to study engineering.
Playing collegiate soccer will allow me to continually challenge myself by playing the sport I love. I aspire to empower people to be the best version of themselves while also holding this standard for myself. Soccer has shaped me into the person I am today and I strive to play competitively for as long as possible.
