Ever since I first started kicking a soccer ball at 5 years old, I have always had the dream of playing in college. Now that I'm getting closer to that dream, I want to make it a reality. I feel like I'm a smart player on the field, I know when to let go of the ball or if I need to hold on to it and take my space because I'm a holding midfielder that's my job. I may not be the player who scores all the goals or the savior who doesn't let any goals get to the keeper. But I do help those forwards get those goals and I will always try to be an obstacle so the player doesn't even need to reach my defense. That's why I feel like I would be a good candidate for your team. I know some players may have a certain playing type, however, I like to play a mix of all types of different styles. Depending on the team I am up against I may one game play two touch soccer if I know the other team is fast at pressuring and I will have a faster tempo, or if I know it is one of the more challenging teams I would play more defense. That's why I feel like I'm different from other players. I know soccer may be the only sport for some, but I am also passionate about skiing. I live in a ski resort town so naturally I ski in the winter. I am on the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF) Big Mountain team this year. Typically, snow is on the ground from November to April so taking a little break from soccer helps me mentally because I can take a small step back and reflect on my soccer while I am skiing. That being said, I still find time to drive to Boise, Idaho to play soccer in the winter months or train with my club team indoors.
