When I was young, I was influenced by my parents, especially my mom, to play soccer. I started playing on a coed team which drove me to become an aggressive, gritty player. During my years of playing soccer, my biggest life lesson was how to overcome failure. Not only do I use this on the field but also in the classroom. I've realized the outcome of working on my own. Going beyond practice made me realize I can be more successful. To get where I am today, I had to realize my mistakes do not define who I am as a person. As I continue to practice this, my confidence on and off the field is growing. I would like to continue my high honor roll successes during my last two years of high school and all through college. One thing that makes me stand out among others is my ability to make others laugh. If others can laugh at me, then I can laugh at me.
