Sports have always been a part of who I am as a person. In my high school career I have participated in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track. I believe every sport has contributed to the way I live my life. These sports have taught me how to not just aspire for greatness, but to work hard so I can achieve greatness. I have also learned that academic success is just as important as my athletic success. I put hard work into my academics so I have the opportunity to play the sport I love. I personally grew the most during my sophomore season when I realized that my team needed a spark. Being a sophomore and the main goalkeeper was quite frightening, but I knew I needed to be the leader. That is why I try my best every game and every practice to become much more vocal and make my presence known on the field.
Soccer has taught me the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication. I was taught that "prefect practice makes perfect," not, "practice makes perfect." I am interested in programs that will help me grow as a student and an athlete. I believe that I can bring leadership, good character, and the desire to win to your team.
