Maddi Gingerich '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer my freshman year of high school, however, the season was cancelled before our first game due to COVID. I came back my sophomore year and secured the starting varsity goalie spot. I truly love every minute spent on the field, and am aways putting in work outside of practice. I started the recruiting process very late, but would love the chance to continue playing in college.  I have had a 4.0 GPA all four years of high school while also completing advanced, honors, and AP classes as well. I am extremely dedicated and hardworking. I bring a positive mindset, and willingness to do hard work to the team. According to MaxPreps, I am ranked the number 1 senior goalie in Illinois and #12 in the country. My GAA is 0.304   I currently have 250 saves this season and broke my school‘s record for most saves in a game (I got 30). I hope to attend a college that prioritizes a balance between academics and sports for student athletes, and is just an overall positive environment to be in.
