Hi, I’m Lindsay Ringbloom! I am a 15 year old, 5’9”, multi position, soccer player from Downers Grove, IL. My club team is currently playing in the Illinois Midwest Conference. I was recently awarded the role of Captain for my club team because of my strong leadership and communication skills.
From the time a ball first touched my foot in 2nd grade, I knew immediately that soccer was my game. Since then, it has always been a dream of mine to play soccer in college and I am willing to do what it takes to get there. I participate in multiple additional training sessions per week aside from the ones specific to my team. I also attend speed and agility classes twice a week. I feel my strengths are in my technical skills, ability to read the field, communication, and speed. I have been trained to play any position, from a center back to a striker. Put me anywhere on the field and I will give it my all. Specifically my club focuses on tactical and technical footwork including foot skills and targeting on the mechanics of passing and shooting.
My academics are extremely important to me. When it comes to looking at what school to choose from, the ideal situation for me would be to find a location that would allow me to have a balance between academics AND athletics. I feel that my athletic goals are realistic and my hope is to continue to play the game I am so passionate about at a higher competitive level while also pursuing my academic and career goals. My drive, determination, and dedication will help me pursue my dreams of playing college soccer.
