Personal Statement

My name is Brooke Zidek and I am a 2017 recruit. I have various college goals as well as aspirations. Ultimately, I want to be able to compete at a high level in both soccer as well as academics, so I am in search for a college with a good balance. As far as on the pitch, I want to make an immediate impact to help make the overall team successful. I am a good candidate because I always work to my fullest ability, regardless the situation or score of the game. I play with extreme heart and passion, two things I believe cannot be taught unlike any other skill. Although small, I have great speed as well as strength. This makes me a very dangerous attacker because I am quick on both sides of the ball, and it is very difficult to knock me off of the ball. I play with no fear, and am definitely not afraid to go up for a header! Athletics aside, I am also a good candidate because my academics are just as strong as my game on the field. I make quick decisions accurately, and fix my mistakes just as quick when I make the wrong one. I am a fast learner, and am able to apply coaching to the game. I have a 4.95 GPA through three years of high school in all honors and AP classes. I started my high school career on junior-varsity, but was moved up less than halfway through the year to varsity. There, I made an immediate impact where I led the team in scoring. My second year, I was my team's top attacker and an all-conference nominee. I am very excited to continue working hard and competing in a sport I love.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
