Hello, I am Molly Thomas from Paducah, Kentucky. I am 17 years old and have been playing soccer since I was four. I attend McCracken County Highschool as a Junior in my city, Paducah, that is known for quilting of all things. There, I play on both a club team and my Varsity team. On both teams I am lucky to have been named captain. At my highschool, I have been on the Varisty team since 9th grade and had been playing Junior Varisty since 6th grade. This past year, I have been awarded MVP for the 2019 season in both my highschool and region. I was also placed on the 1st district, 1st region, and the all-state honorable mention team. In 7th grade, I was awarded "Rising Star" and in 8th grade I was named MVP of my JV team as well as captain. I have attended several college camps in order to grow in my ability and to see what is expected of me. My club team is a multi-state travel team (u19) made up of girls from multiple states. Currently, we are ranked the third team in Kentucky and hope to grow higher at our next tournament.
Academics are my first responsibility. I currently have a 4.0 while taking Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Credit Courses. Unweighted, I am 1st in my class of 496. With a weighted class rank, I am 20th in my class. In college, I want to go into the Environmental Engineering pathway. Being from Kentucky, I am surrounded by agriculture and being from Paducah, we are right along the Ohio River. In Environmental Engineering, I hope to work in the sustainability avenu.
I enjoy staying busy. I participate in several clubs and extracurricular activities at my school. I am in National Honors Society, National English Honors Society, National Art Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Ratio Christi, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ACT Bootcamp, and several other sports. I run Varsity Track for my school in the 4x4 and open 400 races. My team won first in our Region. I also am apart of the first women's powerlifting team at my school. Actually, this past year I got a state record for powercleaning in my weightclass. Also, I was awarded the "Outstanding Lifter" award which meant that I can lift the most weight compared to my body weight in the entire state. I am also invested in art as a hobby. My freshmen year I won a contest at Murray State College Art Exhibition in the category of graphic design.
I am aware that playing soccer while attending college can be difficult and I am up for the task. If you have any questions or want to know my game schedule please text or email me. Thank you for reading about me!
