Personal Statement
Hello, I am a sophomore attending Yarmouth High School, and aspiring to be a collegiate athlete. I started my first high school season last year as a freshman on varsity. I started every game and won the Rookie of the Year award. I continued to start every game sophomore year, playing center mid, and finishing as state champions.
My parents played soccer in college, and have taught me the sport that I have come to love. Starting at 5 years old, my appreciation and proclivity towards the sport has increased every day since. I am a hard worker, who is always working towards a better version of myself. I create motivation and dedication with my own discipline, each day aspiring to be better than I was yesterday.
This behavior proves just as strong in school. So far, I have been on high honor roll throughout freshman year, and am set out to do the same during sophomore year. I am someone who will not settle for half-fast work; I strive to portray my most dedicated work in all aspects of life that I encounter.
This persistent behavior creates many positive outcomes. I have been a top player for my highly-ranked high school team, I am playing on the Seacoast United Elite DPL team, and was chosen to be a part of the Seacoast United Regional 06 team. I am a player who will adapt to any circumstance, and do what’s best for the benefit of my team. I have played multiple positions throughout the past season, and have adjusted to each position assigned.
I will play with anyone and everyone, desiring to make my teammates better through each of my actions. Soccer is a huge part of my life, and I strongly desire to have the opportunity to play in college.
