Determined, passionate, committed, and disciplined are all words that describe me not only as a player on the field but also as a student and an individual. I am a 16-year-old junior that specializes as an outside back who can additionally play as a center back. Ever since my first touch on the ball, I knew that defending was my calling. I thrive on shutting down my opponents to protect the goal. The time that I’ve spent as a defender has taught me to have a strong sense of commitment, perseverance, and resilience. I constantly strive to work on the skills that are necessary to succeed as a defender such as positioning, tackling, intercepting passes, and communicating with my teammates. As a defender, I not only contribute to the defensive side of the game, but I also help assist the attacking side. If you need a defender who can send through long balls to wingers, quickly switch the field, and distribute to a striker to present a scoring opportunity, you can count on me. I have the ability to read the game, make crucial interceptions, and stay calm and composed under stressful situations, making me an essential asset to any team. I’m excited that I was given the opportunity to show off my skills and continue to work to live out my soccer journey at the collegiate level. We can defend our way to victory together!
