My name is Heidi Menadue and I am a 14 year old Freshman at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, MA. This year I made my high school Varsity soccer team as a Freshman. I love playing with new and older players that will test my skills, strength and mental/ tactical knowledge. We are one of the top teams in the state. I play both outside midfield and outside back both L/R. I will play anywhere to help our team. This year I played 40+ minutes per game in H.S and on occasion was a starter. I was so proud of our 17-2-2 record and finishing the year as a Massachusetts state MIAA tournament as a FINAL FOUR team! My club team is NEFC GA 09. We have made the US Girls Academy National Playoffs every year and in 2022 finished 3rd Nationally. I am also a member of the 2023-24 Olympic Development Team/Program - Massachusetts. I pride myself on the fact that I am the only player on my club team that over the years has worked my way up through the program to make it to the Girls Academy team for 4 years now. I have learned first hand how to accomplish my goals through hard work and perseverance. I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone by putting in hours of private sessions and Futsal, as well as working at home and I have grown mentally and physically. I am able to perform at any outside back or midfield position on both left & right sides. Currently I play left back/mid in my club and my strengths include supporting my teammates with accurate passing, strength on the ball and remaining calm under pressure to make the right decisions. Although I have been a defensive player I understand and want to be a part of a successful offense. I am not afraid to advance the ball down forward and provide my teammates with crosses/through balls that can lead to goals. I am learning to shoot more!
I understand the importance of prioritizing and balancing what is important. Family, School, Soccer, & Friends. I have been able to accomplish my goals so far while remaining close with my family and friends. I know that I am just entering high school, but welcome the challenges that lie ahead and look forward to my future successes.
My long term goal is to find a home on a D1 women's soccer team. My immediate goals include putting in the extra work to become proficient at skills I need to work on. I intend to find personal success while also assisting my team to win a National Championship or get closer than we have ever been before.
