Grayson Edwards '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Grayson Edwards and my collegiate goals are to play Division 1 soccer, or collegiate soccer at a competitive level while continuing my successful academic career.  I have a passion for soccer, and I enjoy the hard work that I put into on a daily basis. I play offense (right or left wing) for my high school team Nashoba Regional in Bolton Massachusetts, and I play defense (right or left back) and occasionally (right or left wing) for my club team NEFC 2006 GA. This year (my junior season) in High School our team went 15-0-2, and I broke our schools scoring record for goals and assists.  Playing collegiate soccer is a goal of mine that I set years ago. I differ from a lot of players since I have the flexibility and knowledge of playing both offense and defense at a competitive level.  I have speed, great ball control, precise touch and passing, strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and I am a team player.  Players with the same competitive energy as me help me strive to be a better soccer player and teammate. 

Besides my love for soccer, I have always had a passion for science and specifically biology. As a student of biology, I have always been fascinated by the complexity of living organisms and their vital processes. From the intricate structures of cells, to the behavior of organisms, biology has always been a source of wonder and fascination for me. I look forward to continuing my scientific focused studies after graduating high school. 

A few of my greatest achievements in soccer are when we won the National Championships for my age division two years in a row. In the year of 2020 my "2006 NEFC GA" team ended up playing another northern region NEFC team and we took home the title. The following year my "2006 NEFC GA" team played IMG’s 2006 GA team and took home the title again. My teammates and I were so excited because our hard work throughout the season had paid off.  Another achievement was being the only Freshman to make my High School Varsity team, and start every game.
