2019 HighlightsPersonal Statement
No one ever wanted to be the goalie when I was young, but one day when it was my turn on the rotation to step in goal, I found what I truly love. I wasn't even 10 when I was sliding on my knees stopping the forward in front of me on a breakaway. The rush of preventing a goal and being the team's hero is an indescribable feeling.
I knew that I was going to strive for collegiate soccer the day that John Smith came to watch the camp at John Smith Soccer Academy and he said that I was just the perfect amount of crazy to be a great goalkeeper. He told me that one day he would turn on his tv and see me playing college soccer.
I'm an extremely coachable player, always looking to take in information and make my weaknesses my strengths. On the field and behind the scenes I aim to be the hardest worker out there. I focus on the mental side of the game just as much as the physical.
My academics are equally as important as my athletics. I carry my work ethic into the classroom and try to take something away from my learning. In both I demonstrate leadership qualities and teamwork. I'm experienced in sustaining a challenging academic workload while dedicating a lot of time to soccer.
