Amanda Kalinowski '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard working and determined soccer player. From the moment I step on the field to when I come off, the only thing that’s on my mind is winning this game now, I’m not thinking of what I’m doing after the game, I’m in the moment. I never have a fixed mindset no matter what team we are playing, I just give 110 percent every game. Even if we win by five and I score three goals I’m still thinking of what I could have done better and I’m trying to improve everyday. I want to play higher level teams so my team and I can improve. I have been playing and competing against higher level kids my whole life so I have no problem adapting with a new team or group of kids I have never played with before. My extreme speed and skill helps me get around everyone, when I have the ball, what I’m saying to myself is “no one is going to catch me” I never let anyone beat me in a race or a shooting game after practice because that’s just the mentality I have. The mentality it takes to win is determination and believing that you can always do better and to never, no matter what circumstances give up. I am a team player and I’m always trying to create opportunities for other players and teammates as well as to help them to succeed. I never get down on my team and I always try to encourage them to do better by setting a leading example.
