Hi Coaches. My name is Annika Stockhaus, and I am currently a Junior attending Sutton High School. During my freshman year, I attended Bartlett High School. My freshman season taught me that winning isn't all that matters in sports, as we only won two games. I was forced to step up and be a leader as only a freshman, and at the end of the season, I received the Most Valuable Player award. I took my freshman year as a crucial learning experience and acquired the knowledge of how important it is to maintain a positive attitude on the field. My academics have always been extremely important to me. I was seeking more for my education and to improve my game by playing on a highly competitive team, which is the reason I transferred to Sutton High School. In 2022 my club team Spirit of Liverpool NPL won the NPL Championship and then played in the NPL NATIONAL Tournament in Denver, Colorado. In 2022 I was also a member of the Division 5 Massachusetts State final-winning team and played a key role in helping my team accomplish this. My high school team recently won the Division 4 Massachusetts State championship after moving up a division. In 2022 I was nominated for DVC All Star which I was very proud of because I was a transfer and had to work very hard to earn the respect of my teammates and coaches. This past fall in 2023 I was not only nominated for DVC All Star and Central Mass All Star but was awarded Honorable Mention for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette Hometeam Super Team. I believe I am an intelligent, experienced, and hardworking player. My primary position is center attacking mid but I am always open to trying new positions wherever I am needed. I have been a multi sport athlete from a very young age, yet soccer is what really stuck with me. Soccer has always been a major part of my life and I would be grateful for an opportunity to continue to play the sport I love in college.
Thank you
