Personal Statement
To me, soccer isn’t just something I do; it’s something that I am. It’s a personality trait and my lifestyle. Every aspect of my life - whether it’s athletics, academics, music, or anything in-between - has been improved by the competitiveness that I’ve learned through soccer. That’s what sets me apart from other recruits: the willingness and determination I possess on the soccer field are inherent in literally every area of my life. I can’t simply turn off my competitiveness after a game - it stays with me, constantly pushing me to become a better version of myself. My work ethic and positivity are contagious, and I love to see my teammates improving alongside me. Leading by example and pushing myself no matter the circumstances allow me to inspire my team.
In college, I aspire to play soccer and prepare for medical school after graduation. It is my dream to become a surgeon. This is an ambitious goal that was born as a result of the perseverance I’ve learned from soccer. The feeling of working relentlessly to achieve success on the field and accomplishing it is something that I will never stop chasing in any aspect of my life. I know that I would be a good fit for your team because of my non-stop work ethic, which not only makes me a better player, but also helps me push my teammates to achieve their best as well.
