I believe soccer is more than a sport, it teaches you a lot about yourself and develops life long skills. I have been playing club soccer ever since I was 8 years old. Over the years I learned that confidence in yourself will make a world of difference in how you play, mistakes will be made but that is how you get better, and that the one thing you can always control is how much effort you put in. I like to hold myself to a high standard. I work hard at practice, I run, I eat healthy, and I prepare myself to play to my best ability. What I don't do is skip reps, miss practice, or bring a negative attitude. I think those around me like my teammates see this standard I set for myself, and then they begin to do the same. I believe this is the reason I have been captain of my high school team as both a Junior and a Senior, as well as during my 2018 club season. This standard then translates onto the field. I am a leader on the field with my communication as I think it is the key to success, I don't give up until the game is over, I go hard into every tackle, and I utilize my speed effectively. Soccer is what I love, and what I do for soccer sets me apart.
