Julia Schumacher '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julia Schumacher, I am a 5'11", 145 pounds forward. Ever since I started playing soccer at the age of 4 years old, I have loved the game. The adrenaline of the game continues to make me work harder and strive to be better. I am a speedy, strong left-footed forward that is always ready to send in dangerous crosses and look for opportunities to score. Not only am I left-footed but I can play on both sides of the field. I am a dedicated, passionate, and loyal player. My ability to find open gaps, my speed, and my ability to slot and cross the ball into the 6' and 18' I believe is a great advantage to my team. I am also always a team player on and off the field. I am constantly motivating my team, being loud on the field, and being a positive leader whenever I can. Creating a relationship with my teammates is also very important to me. I believe when you can do that you don't only see it off the field but you see it on the field as well. I have also been lucky enough to have amazing coaches in my soccer career that have made me want to continue my soccer career past high school and have shown me what a positive player/coach relationship should look like and that is something I am looking for during my collegiate soccer career. I am always improving my game and striving to become better because I have always had the dream to play collegiate soccer. Because of my drive and determination, I am hoping that all of my work will pay off and continue soccer in college.

Not only do I want to play the highest level of soccer as I can, but education is also very important to me. I am always trying to improve in the classroom and I expect very much of myself just like in soccer. I am currently taking three college course classes as a sophomore in high school and many electives related to medicine. I am a student that always aims for straight A's and above because I know that hard work pays off. I want to be apart of a team that not only is going to take my soccer career seriously but also my education. I want a college that is going to help me put my best foot forward and help me pursue my education. I am a devoted student-athlete that continues to be better every day for someday my dreams to become a reality.
