Serenity Hanson '20 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my life I have struggled with overcoming emotional distress from my fathers incarseration and the loss of many family members, but these struggles have influenced me immensly to get me to where I am. The need for a strong support system, dedicated attitude, and love in my life sparked my interest in soccer. I have always loved playing soccer and I have seen it as my safe place away from other outside variables. I wish to continue to play the sport I love, while furthering my education at the best of my abilities. Along with soccer, my academics have always been a top priority of mine. In my time in high school I aspire to give every opportunity my best and have rewarding results. After high school I hope to find a team and college that can challenge me, push me to be better, and teach me ways to improve and grow my skills. I have been captain on my club teams and varsity high school team. I think that position gave me a lot of experience in leadership, responsibility, and drive. I think these aspects make me a good candidate for teams along with my skill. Somethings that make me different and unique are that I excel in my academics, I am very prevalent in my community with volunteering, I am willing to fail to learn from my mistakes but will work with a diligent mentality and I have gotten many great opportunities to increase my skills. Lastly, throughout my soccer career I have learned many things about my-self that have helped me grow as a person to benifit the life of my-self and others.
