Making my high school's varsity team as a freshman was one of my highlights of my soccer career. During that year, as a freshman, my abilities were really tested as I was playing against people who were 3 years older than me and had a lot more experience, so I knew I had to really step up. I believe that my freshman year has really tested and helped improve my leadership, physicality, and work-ethic.
I was first introduced to the world of soccer by my sister. She started playing soccer before I did and after seeing her play, I instantly knew that soccer was what I wanted to do. I started my soccer career as playing a defensive and holding mid. Later on in my career, I was moved to play center back. It was a big change for me and I knew it was going to take some time to get used to. Over my time as being a center back, my vision of the field has developed dramatically in a positive way, my leadership skills on and off the field have improved, and a more defensive mentality has also developed. I am a very coachable player and am willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.
