My name is Sophia Roedel. I am currently 16 years old and will graduate in May of 2027. I am a very versatile player and can play all over the field. However, I mostly play center defensive midfield. I first fell in love with the game in kindergarten and made it my entire personality. Not long after, I decided that I wanted to play CYC with my classmates but also play competitively through club soccer. What was once just a fun activity became a passion I was enthusiastic about. I began playing for Kirkwood United and eventually switched to St. Louis Scott Gallagher, where I am currently playing.
Soccer has taught me many valuable lessons throughout my career that I apply in everyday scenarios. However, soccer isn’t the only thing I work hard to progress at. I spend much of my time making sure my grades reach the high standards I set for myself. I also spend a lot of time valuing relationships with my friends and family. In college, I plan to continue my academics, either studying medicine or business. My goal is to accompany my studies by playing collegiate soccer and using my experience to better the team.
