Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Chloe Nadeau and I am a 19 year college freshman playing USports (D1) in Canada. We had 3 games in the fall and I played an average of 60-70 minutes each game and started in our final game. I had 1 assist in our 3 games. I attended Flathead High School which is in the largest class, AA, in Montana and I have been a varsity starter since my freshman year. I played primarily center back this season, which was best for my team and I defended against the top forwards in the state, often shutting them down. I have played mostly center midfield for high school and club prior to this high school season. I have led my team in assists all three years in high school and like to play on the attack. This season I earned the team MVP award and First Team All Conference. Last year, I earned All Conference Honorable Mention . I currently play for 2 clubs, Rocky Mountain FC and Flathead Valley United. Since Montana is such a large state with a low population, we have to travel long distances to compete. RMFC is a premier travel club with the best players in the state. We play at the Portland Showcase, Las Vegas Mayors Cup, Phoenix Desert Cup and Nike Crossfire Challenge. FVU is a local club that I have played for since U11 and we practice and play throughout Montana , Idaho and Washington.
I am a dedicated student with a 4.0 GPA , including honors and IB classes. I will be taking the ACT and SAT this spring. I am not sure what subject I want to major in, but I leaning towards International Studies and Spanish. I am also a member of National Honor Society and I have been Academic All State the last 3 years. I volunteer every week at an after school program , ACES, that serves primarily low income children. In addition, I have worked the last 2 summers in Bigfork.
I am looking for a college with strong academics that will allow me to be the best student-athlete possible. My brother is a D1 wrestler at West Virginia University and has been successful and managing academics and athletics and I look forward the challenge!
