Earning a spot on the varsity soccer team as a freshman at Hamilton High School West was very exciting for me. Now as a Junior, I was voted to be a team captain by my team for our 2017 season. We had a tough season with strong competition. After 14 games I accumulated a total of 10 goals with 6 assists. After 3 years of playing Varsity soccer, I have learned the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and a positive attitude on and off the field. I have become more confident as a student and athlete in school.
I was taught to be passionate about my education and I have been an Honor Roll student since elementary school. I am a member of the Unified Club, Key Club, and Peer Leadership. The Unified Club provides opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities to create relationships with members. Key Club is about helping the less fortunate and we often make peanut butter and jelly for kids in need. Peer Leadership is about setting an example and being a leader for the school. Our main goal is making sure the incoming freshman feel comfortable entering a new school and help guide them in the right direction.
I have been playing travel soccer since I was 7, currently playing for PDA South Spurs 01. I play and/or train year around, attend training and ID camps, cross fit sessions, and strength and conditioning sessions to improve my skill set. On the field I love moving to open spaces, turning the ball, stealing the ball from the opponent, and finishing that great run. I am looking to attend a university where I can continue to grow academically and help bring a championship title to my school.
