Sophie Vieira '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach 

My name is Sophie Vieira and I have just started my first year at Whippany Park High School, in Hanover, Northern NJ.  I am excited to start looking to my future in college and a career.  I live in Northern NJ  and am just starting to look at possible colleges that I would like to attend when I graduate in 2020. 

I wanted to tell you a little bit about who I am.

My number one strength as a soccer player is my PASSION and FOCUS. This allows me to do well at playing under pressure and in a competitive environment.   I am 5’3”, 128 lbs, and I play forward, however, I am very comfortable and successful playing midfield and defense.  I have been playing soccer since 5 years old.  I started playing club soccer when I was 8. Since then I have achieved a lot: 

•   I have always been on the top competitive team at my club (STA  2002 NPL), often playing up on older teams. 
•   I have been consistently selected and participated in the Player Development Program with the New York Soccer Club League - NPL for the last 3 years.  
•   I have been on the NPL PDP select teams over the last 3 years for various events and tournaments and am excited to have been selected for their European Select Team that will travel to Switzerland and Italy in the summer of 2017.  
•   This past Spring (2016) I was recommended by John Curtis to the id2 program 
•   I also was included in the National Training Center this fall.
•   I have competed In National 3v3 Championships in Orlando over the last 2 years with a select team and won both years.  
•   This fall I was selected as the only freshman at my high school to play on the Varsity team.  We won our conference.  I start the games and was the second highest goal scorer on my team (10 goals), and have the third highest amount of assists (7 assists) for the season.  I was also awarded NJAC all conference.

I currently have a profile on CaptainU and NCSA.  Thank you for taking the time to read a bit more about me and my goals.  I look forward to meeting you.
