Mariana Lefco '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Mariana Lefco, and I am a year 2025 graduate and a full-time goalkeeper. I attend Ballston Spa High School in Ballston Spa, New York. I have a 3.8 GPA and I am currently enrolled in IB, AP, and Honors classes. I am also a member of the National Junior Honors Society. 

I have been playing soccer since I was five years old, and have learned many important lessons. I have been playing club soccer for the last 6 years with Saratoga Wilton Soccer Club and this past season I was on my High School's Varsity Team and also the starter for our JV team. My love for the game is like no other, and I crave to succeed and prove to myself that I am capable of anything as long as I work for it. I am a team player and you can always count on me to be a supportive friend and teammate. Furthermore, being close with my teammates is very important to me and I have created so many amazing bonds with lots of amazing people. Soccer has made me become a better person on and off the field. I have learned to overcome challenges and learn from my mistakes. My life revolves around soccer and I would not want it any other way. 

Additionally, I love to help out my community. I actively volunteer and it has shaped me to become a more loving and caring person. Helping others makes me happy and it is such a good feeling knowing I am able to impact my community positively. 

Going to a college that is just right for me is very important to me. I am currently undecided, but I would like to be a member of an ROTC program while in college. I am looking into joining the military after college and that is also something very important to me. I hope to find a college that pushes me both academically and athletically and am heavily considering staying on the East Coast.

I look forward to many great opportunities in my future and am very happy and grateful to be where I am today.
