I have been a starter on our varsity girls soccer team since I was a freshman getting 80 minutes of game time each game. I started out as a defender but moved to a defensive midfielder my junior year, then to a forward, right wing in my senior season. Often Coach LaPlante would play me in two to three different positions in one game, depending on where I was needed on the field, such as midfield or defense if we were leading and needed to play more defensively to maintain the lead and also due to some of our defenders having injuries. Our school is in Section 10, Class D in New York state and did not have section championship games and our school missed out on our last three games of the season due to all schools in our county being moved to remote learning because of increased Covid cases. Despite this our school has been ranked 4th in the state for class D. I received Section 10 Class D First Team All-Northern recognition this year as well as in 2019, second in 2018. I have been a team captain in my junior and senior years. I am also a strong student academically and am 5th in the class with a GPA of 96.38. I would be a good candidate for any team since I am comfortable and have the skills to play in so many different positions.
