Hello! My name is Kaelyn Morgan. I‘m 17 years old and I attend Chateaugay Central School, in New York. I am a multi-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball (also on NCSA), and softball. I also show horses and played summer league baseball until aging out of the league.
All of the sports I have participated in have shown me how hard work, will, practice, and being a team player are key components in sports and in life. I have gained patience and determination by playing sports.
I have been on the varsity soccer team since 2020, and a starter. I started as a defender until our goalie graduated in 2021.
The 21-22 season, I volunteered to be the goalie and I’ve loved it ever since. During that season, my team and I went 19-3 and made it to the New York State Class D Final Four. I had 13 shutouts. After my first season between the pipes, I was hooked. I started learning more and more about being a goalie. That summer, I went to my first camp and met my goalie coach.
For my junior year, 22-23 season, I was honored to be the Defensive MVP in Section X Class D, First Team All-North, and 3rd team All-State. I had 15 shutouts out of 20 games, with 6 goals scored all season. My team was Class D Regional Runner-Ups.
My senior year regular season went by quickly and we found ourselves undefeated and in first place in our division. Unfortunately our playoff round ended with a 2-0 loss in the Section X Class D championship. I ended my season with 12 shut outs, was voted defensive MVP of the East Divison and earned a 1st team All Northern. I also received an Academic All Northern recognition having been on the honor roll for all my years on the varsity soccer team.
I hope to continue my education and athletic career in college.
