Personal Statement
I started playing soccer for East Meadow Soccer club when I was five. I watched and admired my older brother when he played, and eventually decided I wanted to try it out for myself. Throughout my years of play, I have become better at communication with teammates, which improved my execution on the field. The more mature I became, I realized that I had to learn how to ignore some of the negative comments and influences that were around. Soccer has taught me how to overcome self confidence issues, and I eventually learned it was better to praise myself and learn from my mistakes, rather than feel bad about them. I plan to play throughout high school, with the goal of earning a scholarship to a University with a great team, great coach, and great teachers that fits my personality and goals.
