- 2022 Highlights #2
Personal Statement
I am hardworking and push myself to reach my goals in soccer and in life. Whether I am aiming to run a faster mile, forcing myself to play one-two touch soccer, or pushing myself to track back on defense during games; I always keep a growth mindset and mental toughness. I have high expectations for myself and others(teammates), but I am still very patient and understanding. My number one academic goal is to maintain a 4.0 GPA by focusing my attention on school first. I am a very organized person which allows me to work well with tight schedules and planning. When I get a new assignment or task, I complete it as soon as possible and avoid procrastinating. I always put in 100% effort to produce quality work. In soccer, when I get new criticism or come up with a new goal for myself, I get on it right away and give it my full attention when I am training. From the first day I touched a soccer ball when I was three, I knew that it was the game for me. I love the game more than anything else in the world, and spend my time watching professional games, teaching others, and practicing every day. I don't train just to train. "Every single day I wake up and commit to myself to becoming a better player" - Mia Hamm. I joined my first league when I was four and have been the center mid for all of my teams going forward. I am technically very strong, with exceptional ball control and I can play/kick equally with both feet. I can recognize when to dribble forward and when to create overloads in the attack. I am a quiet leader, meaning I lead by example by constantly working hard and pushing myself. One of my best skills is my ability to use moves and work in tight spaces.
