My name is Kennedy McCullough and soccer is one of the things that keeps me going every day. Soccer has allowed me to make life long friendships, which is the best part of playing to me. Playing soccer has taught me to work around things, push hard, be encouraging , and always go 100%. I became interested in soccer when I was three years old and ever since then it’s just been an amazing part of my life. On top of that I am the daughter of two of the most encouraging parents ever, (Valerie and Derrick McCullough). During my years of playing soccer so far my biggest influencers have been my mother, Valerie and my coach Mike Dixon. They both have taught me to go 110% and just do me during soccer and outside of soccer which I greatly appreciate. I attend Middle Creek High School in Apex, North Carolina, where my grades consist of A’s and B’S. I made the Junior varsity soccer team as a freshman and started in every game. My sophomore year I made the varsity soccer team and currently doing well throughout the season. At Middle Creek High, I was nominated and won homecoming court, my freshman and sophomore year. I have also participated in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) in North Carolina (2017/2018, 2018 /2019, and 2020/2021). I was chosen to play in sub regional events through ODP in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021. The past Sub-Regional events were an experience of a lifetime. In January 2020, I was selected to play in the ODP Sub-Regional in Charlotte, North Carolina. The high level of play from girls throughout the east coast was great as well as the everlasting friendship I will treasure. I have also recently played in the February 2020, ODP Sub-Regional in Virginia. My club team and I have recently played in WAGS, NCFC Showcase, Adidas Cup Showcase and the Charlotte invitational and Charlotte Independence Showcase . Once I graduate from high school I would like to be successful in school, playing college soccer and making new friends.
