I have been playing soccer since I was five. I first found interest in the sport after playing for my church's youth team. As I got older, the more I wanted to learn about the sport and excel in it. Once I found interest in the sport, I signed up to play for a local club called Strickers, from Strickers, I was invited to try out for Charlotte Soccer Academy. After playing for the club for several years, I was offered a better position on a new team for Charlotte Independence.
I'm a well-rounded athlete, I have a hard-working and determined mindset when I step onto the field. Throughout the years of soccer and new teams, I have learned how to be a good teammate and leader. I always bring good energy to practices and games, ready to work hard and assist my teammates or coaches. I have played competitive travel soccer for the past 9 years, playing for school and double rostering with other teams. I'm captain of my school soccer team for the past two years. I won all-conference my sophomore year, and we qualified for states the past two years. Year-round I like to stay in the gym and run. During summer break I work as a dog walker through the app called Scout and attend soccer camps to keep me in shape for the upcoming seasons.
Academics have always been harder for me, but once college soccer became an option, I decided it was time for me to step my game up with tutoring and move to a smaller school. I worked hard through my sophomore and junior year to boost my GPA. While in school, I work at a restaurant called Crafty Burger. In college, I would like to major in architecture or marketing. This stems from many summers spent at the lodges at Eagle's Nest in banner elk. The lodges allowed me to help at event sales, concert volunteering, and watch million-dollar homes being built and sold.
I would like to continue to work hard at soccer and in school. Playing soccer overall makes me a better person. Things like teamwork, trust, and hard work all contribute to who I am. I believe my passion and hard work for the sport have helped me prepare for college sports and academics.
