  • Evaluated at Midwest Girls Academic 50 ID Camp on 07/23/2023 by Coach Bennett of Eastern Illinois University Skillset Overview Technical Abilities - 89 / 100 Passing - Creates opportunities for teammates with accurate passes. Rarely over or under hits the ball. Ball Control - Quality first touch in space, and controls the ball under pressure. Tactical Abilities - 89 / 100 Speed Of Thought - Has good ideas and tries to play fast. This will only help future growth. Defensive Awareness - Understands team defensive schemes, shows understanding of positioning and angles. Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Speed - Great speed overall, in particular when running into space. Will be an important asset going forward. Explosiveness - Great quickness and explosiveness, especially in the first step or two. Mental Abilities - 92 / 100 Confidence - Great confidence, didn’t shy away when challenged at camp and played with a sense of urgency. Team Player - Great team-first attitude. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. Coach's Comments Helen had a solid week at camp and was a big part of her team's ability to attack and go forward. She has top-level speed and acceleration, and she wasn't afraid to use it to pressure and recover the ball defensively. As a 2025, her athleticism will allow her to become a really great prospect as long as she continues to develop the other aspects of her game. Create space to shoot and score - Find a way to get more shots on goal. More shots should = more goals eventually! Clever running, a moving first touch, and lots of repetitions with different kinds of pressure (defender in front/on the side/on your back) will give you confidence when the games happen. Run at defenders as much as possible - You have great speed - use it! Find matchups on the field that you can take advantage of (slower or weaker outside back, center back, etc) and attack them constantly. Get really confident in 1v1's out wide and make teams compensate for you.
