Hi coaches! My name is Erin McElwee and I am currently a sophomore attending Holy Name High School in Parma, OH. I was a starter both this year and my freshman year for my high school varsity team, and am playing for North FC Soccer Club. I am 15 years old and have been playing the beautiful game non-stop since I was 4. I have developed such a passion for soccer throughout these past 11 years and it is the only sport I have ever loved. For many years I slowly started to become a primary center defender and never really moved anywhere else. Eventually I played in the midfield and excelled, and just this year towards the end of the season my high school coaches put me up at forward where I shocked everyone including myself at how well I am there. I have a lot of experience in all 10 positions on the field and can be moved around where ever I am needed. I am a very flexible player and all of my coaches can always depend on me to play anywhere they need me to.
Having a good education is extremely important to me too. For a long time I have been really good at prioritizing my grades and am always determined to succeed in the classroom, not just on the field. In high school so far I have taken a total of 5 honors classes and plan on continuing to take classes that challenge me next year. I have a 4.0+ GPA and have made honor roll multiple times. My goal once I leave high school is to find a school that fits me academically and athletically. I would love to further receive a great education and continue playing the game I love most. I am excited to move forward on this journey and begin a new, exciting chapter of my life.
