My passion for the sport of soccer began when I was six years old, and my parents
signed me up to my first soccer league. Playing at that young age I enjoyed
playing the game and knew this was something that I wanted to do at the
collegiate level. Currently at the level that I am playing the challenges are more
intense and my passion for the game grows more at every level.
Through the years I have been able to build on my physical attributes. Some of
those attributes are becoming a strong and physical player as I am a dominant
defender. This position has assisted in developing my leadership skills as well as
my communication skills with my team(s). The building of my leadership skills has
allowed me to be a very determined person on and off the field. As time passes
by each year, I see that there is always room for improvement and knowing this
drives me to become a hardworking person.
Aside of having a strong passion for soccer, I strive to be highly academically
successful and focus on accomplishing all that I can to maintain a high-level GPA.
Understanding that my academics are a main driver to get me to the next level I
focus strongly on holding my current GPA which is a 3.9. Accomplishing this goal
has allowed me to make the Honor Roll consecutively throughout the year. In
conclusion, outside of my academics and soccer I utilize my time as well to
volunteer within my community. This allows me to continue to grow as an
individual.
